These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all bookings, purchases, and participation in tours or experiences offered through Asia Street Eats GK (“Asia Street Eats”, “we”, “our”, “us”) and our website www.asiastreeteats.com. By using our site or booking a tour, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. They represent a binding agreement between you, the customer (“you”, “your”, “the traveler”), and Asia Street Eats GK, a registered Godo Kaisha based in Tokyo, Japan.
Please read them carefully before making any booking. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. Who We Are
Asia Street Eats GK is a company registered in Tokyo, Japan. We operate as an online travel agency (OTA) that connects travelers with independently owned food-tour and culinary-experience providers throughout Asia. In addition to acting as an intermediary, we also organize a limited number of in-house tours operated directly by us under the Asia Street Eats brand. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Asia Street Eats acts solely as an intermediary between you and the local vendor providing the experience.

2. Role and Responsibilities
Asia Street Eats provides an online platform through which users can browse, select, and book food tours and related experiences. In most cases, these tours are organized and operated by independent local vendors (“the vendor”). When you make a booking through our website, you enter into a direct contractual relationship with the vendor, not with Asia Street Eats, unless the tour description explicitly states that it is operated by us.
Asia Street Eats acts only as an agent or facilitator of bookings and payments on behalf of vendors. We transmit booking details and payments to the relevant vendor and confirm the reservation on your behalf. We do not own, control, or supervise the activities, staff, facilities, or operations of third-party vendors. The vendor is solely responsible for the delivery and safety of the experience, compliance with local laws, and the accuracy of all descriptions provided.

3. Booking Process
Bookings can be made directly through our website or, in some cases, through our affiliate partners or travel agents. Once you select an experience and make payment, you will receive a confirmation email containing the tour details. The booking becomes binding once this confirmation is issued. You must review the confirmation carefully and inform us immediately if any details are incorrect.
All participants must be at least sixteen (16) years of age unless accompanied by an adult who assumes full responsibility for their participation. By completing a booking, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract and that all information you provide is accurate.

4. Prices and Payments
All prices are displayed in Japanese Yen (JPY) unless otherwise noted. Some prices may be shown in U.S. dollars (USD) for convenience, but payment is always processed in Japanese Yen or as indicated at checkout. Prices are subject to change at any time without notice, although confirmed bookings will not be affected.
Payment for all tours must be made in full at the time of booking through our secure payment partners, such as Stripe, Square, or Wix Payments. We do not store or have access to your credit card information. Bookings are confirmed only after successful payment authorization. Any additional bank or currency conversion fees are the responsibility of the customer.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
We understand that plans can change. If you wish to cancel a confirmed booking, please notify us by email at info@asiastreeteats.com. Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour or no-shows are non-refundable.
Some vendors may apply stricter cancellation policies due to local regulations or operational costs. In those cases, the vendor’s specific policy will prevail. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed through the original payment method, minus any non-recoverable transaction or processing fees.
Tours canceled by the vendor or by Asia Street Eats due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, safety concerns, or minimum-participant requirements will be refunded in full or rescheduled by mutual agreement. Asia Street Eats is not responsible for additional expenses you may incur as a result of such cancellations, including transportation, accommodation, or visa costs.

6. Changes to Bookings
If you wish to amend your booking, please contact us as early as possible. While we will do our best to accommodate requests, changes cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to availability or additional charges. Any modification made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will generally be treated as a cancellation.
Asia Street Eats reserves the right to modify itineraries, schedules, meeting points, or inclusions when necessary due to weather, safety concerns, local events, or force majeure. Such adjustments will always be made with the best interest of participants in mind and do not entitle you to a refund unless the core experience is substantially altered.

7. Travel Insurance and Health
Participation in tours or activities arranged through Asia Street Eats is at your own risk. Travel insurance is not included in the tour price and is strongly recommended to cover illness, accidents, theft, cancellations, or other unexpected situations.
You are responsible for assessing your own health and physical ability to participate safely in a tour. Some experiences may involve walking, standing, or tasting food in open-air environments. By joining, you confirm that you are in good health and do not have any medical condition that may endanger yourself or others.
Asia Street Eats and its vendors reserve the right to refuse participation to any person who appears unfit, intoxicated, or behaves in a way that could disturb other guests or compromise safety.

8. Liability and Disclaimers
Asia Street Eats operates as a travel facilitator and, in some cases, as an experience provider. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we, our employees, directors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, accident, delay, or other claim arising from your participation in any tour, whether organized directly by us or by a third-party vendor.
Food tours involve certain inherent risks, including but not limited to exposure to street food, traffic, outdoor conditions, or public environments. You participate voluntarily and assume full responsibility for your actions. Vendors and guides are independent contractors and not employees of Asia Street Eats. We do not accept liability for their acts, omissions, or negligence.
Asia Street Eats is not liable for any loss resulting from force majeure events such as natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, epidemics, or any circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Our total aggregate liability, in any case, shall not exceed the total amount paid for the booking in question.

9. Safety, Conduct, and Food Allergies
You agree to follow all reasonable instructions from your guide or vendor during the tour and to behave respectfully toward staff, other guests, and the local environment. Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate conduct may result in immediate exclusion from the activity without refund. Asia Street Eats and its vendors reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior compromises safety, enjoyment, or reputation of the company.
Guests are fully responsible for informing us in advance of any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions at the time of booking or as soon as possible thereafter. We and our vendors will make every reasonable effort to communicate these requirements to relevant food providers; however, due to the nature of street food and local preparation environments, we cannot guarantee that any dish will be free from allergens, cross-contamination, or traces of specific ingredients.
By participating in any food experience arranged through Asia Street Eats, you acknowledge and accept that you do so at your own risk, that full allergen elimination cannot be ensured, and that Asia Street Eats, its partners, and vendors assume no responsibility for allergic reactions or health issues arising from food consumption during the tour. Your participation constitutes explicit acceptance of this condition.

10. Passports, Visas, and Local Laws
You are solely responsible for ensuring that you meet the legal travel requirements to participate in the experience, including valid identification, visas, and permits. Asia Street Eats does not provide visa or immigration assistance and cannot be held responsible for denied entry, expired documents, or other administrative issues.

11. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and design, is owned or licensed by Asia Street Eats and protected under copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any material from our website without our prior written permission. Unauthorized use of our brand or content may result in legal action.

12. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. All personal information collected through our website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. By using our website or making a booking, you agree to that Policy.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any disputes arising out of or relating to them are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court, unless otherwise required by consumer-protection legislation in your country of residence.
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Updates to These Terms
Asia Street Eats may revise these Terms at any time without prior notice, although the version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to that transaction. Updated versions will be posted on our website with the date of revision. Your continued use of our website or services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
